Grid-connected Rooftop Solar project at CWPRS premises
As per directives of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) the organisations under Government of India, are required to generate and use Solar Power to promote ecological and sustainable growth. Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has provided the list of successful Bidders / Agencies for installation of solar roof top panels under Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) Model across the country. Under this model no capital expenditure is required to be incurred by the Department/ Organistion, as same is to be borne by the successful bidder/agencies-identified for each State. Hence CWPRS has installed the solar power generation plant of approx. 700kwp as per various guidelines received from MoWR, GR & RD. The details of solar plant are as follows.

The present grid tariff of CWPRS Rs 12.50 per unit and is escalating every year by 3-5% while the solar tariff rate is fixed as Rs 3.62 per unit for 25 years. Hence substantial revenue saving is expected due to solar power plant.
