Data Logger & Telemetry
The Data Logger and Telemetry facility has been developed at CWPRS under the
National Hydrology Project. The facility supports testing and calibration of
Data Loggers, Digital Multimeters, Data Acquisition Devices, Digital Readouts
or any devices using Analog to Digital Converters.
The facility also supports testing of instruments and components for transmitting
and receiving data/signals installed by State and/or Central Implementing Agencies
at various Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), Surface Water Level (SWL) measurement,
Ground Water Level (GWL) measurement sites and centralized control rooms across
Pan India.

Unique Features of the Facility
- The multiproduct calibrator can simulate sensor output in the form of AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, RTD, etc.
- The simulation signal is verified using a precision multimeter.
- Reference data logger with 18-bit resolution and inputs compatible with all sensor types under NHP is used as the standard DUT.
- Cable and antenna analyzer is used as standard equipment and is periodically calibrated from NABL accredited laboratory.
- Device Under Test (DUT) such as RF cable and/or antenna is verified against standard values.
- All measurements are traceable to NIST / NPL.
