The River and Reservoir Systems Modeling lab is comprised of the following divisions Hydraulic Analysis and Prototype Testing (HAPT), River Rejuvenation (RR), Canal Automation and Measurement (CAM), Disaster Management Planning (DMP).The Lab broadly carried out wide variety of studies related to water resources as well as Environmental studies with respect to rivers and reservoirs. The lab undertakes comprehensive studies in applied hydrology and hydraulics, design of hydraulic structures, flood training methods, flow measurement in canals, sediment dynamics in rivers, sediment flushing in reservoirs, water quality assessment in rivers, Nala diversion, Dam break studies. The Lab boasts various physical models and also utilizes numerical modeling along with desk and field based studies to address the complex problems related to water resources and environmental engineering.
